Teamwork

I was babysitting the Munchkin last night, all snuggled up in bed beside him while he went to sleep. He had his dummy in his mouth but really wanted to suck his thumb as well. He puzzled over this for a while, then stuck his chubby little thumb into my mouth. I guess that's one way of handling the problem--delegation. :)

OMG, this is too precious and too funny! First you cracked me up with "He had his dummy in his mouth." I never heard anyone call a pacifier a dummy. And then the rest is just too cute, sticking his thumb in your mouth! Hahahaha! You've got to put this post in his baby book. Thanks for the laughs!

Hehe, it was hilarious, Lyn! :) This morning when I gave him a cuddle he tried to give me his thumb again, he's adorable :D It's a bit slobbery though!

I forgot you guys call them pacifiers :D We do too, but dummy's more often!

Too cute!

Pacifier Wen, pacifier!

Isn't it funny how we Aussies/Kiwis know most of the American words for things but so many Americans have never heard of the Australian or English word for the same thing? Words like boot for trunk, jumper for sweater, thong for flip flop? This got us in all sorts of trouble when we lived in the US. :) Made for some funny stories.

It is funny! I often think we've got the advantage when it comes to international understanding. I can set my books in America without too much of a mental shift, but I bet it'd be a lot harder for someone in the US to write something set here. America is just such a big part of our culture with TV and the movies and all that.

hehe, I had the same trouble when I was visiting America :d I remember snorting milkshake out my nose when someone started talking about their "fanny" :D That one still makes me giggle :D
